WickView Moisture Management Tester
WickView is the only moisture management test instrument that tests to standard AATCC TM217-2025, using advanced imaging and software to track and record the transfer of moisture through a fabric.
Developed in consultation with James Heal, the latest AATCC moisture management test method was created to address the more advanced testing capabilities offered by the WickView. Prior existing industry test standards use basic distance and time as a measure to assess the spread of moisture, rather than the exact movement in multiple directions. Testing to this new AATCC standard provides detailed insights into a fabric's moisture wicking capabilities using WickView.
Vertical and Horizontal Testing
WickView can be rotated to test specimens both vertically and horizontally, to better replicate how clothes are worn on the body, or how nonwovens are deployed in real life. Traditional horizontal moisture management testers only replicate the part of the garment worn on the shoulder.
Innovative Technology
High definition cameras are positioned on either side of the specimen to record the movement of moisture. Effective even when testing heavily patterned or dark fabrics.
More Meaningful Results
WickView calculates and records results testing to AATCC TM217-2025 giving a truer representation of real-life wear in comparison to other ways of testing. By examining the direction, shape, speed and actual wet area of fabric, WickView accurately measures how moisture is being drawn away from the wearer's body.
Water Delivery System
The fabric draws liquid from the water delivery system as a garment would draw sweat from skin, replicating perspiration in a natural way.
